NovaChem provides state-of-the-art hazardous chemical and electronic wastes disposal and recycling services. We also provide tailor made training on preparation of hazardous waste management and disposal manuals and protocols.
Extraction and separation of precious and ccal metals critical metals
Novachem develops green rare earth elements (REEs), platinum group metals (PGMs), gold, tantalum, lithium and other technologically critical metals extraction and separation technologies for commercial applications. Our technologies are scaled up and commercialized in Norway and the US.
Harvesting radionuclides for medical applications
NovaChem has developed a novel technology for harvesting alpha-emitters from natural thorium in significant volumes at very competitive prices. Alpha-emitters are the radioactive radionuclides used in the new and extremely effective Targeted Alpha Therapy (TAT) used in treatment of various types of cancer.

Solomon Belay (BSc) Founder and USA Branch Manager
Graduated from University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign, with a BA in general engineering and with 20 years of experience in big corporations. Previously, he has worked for Accenture as a consultant and for Allstate and Wall-mart as QA manager. Currently he is working for Kruger as a QA manager. He has also pursued various projects in international business. Solomon is member of Board of Directors for both ScYLa-tech LLC and NovaChem PLC and he is responsible for the US branch office of the companies.
Michael D. Kifle (MSc) General Manager
Michael received bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of Oslo (UiO) in information technology and software development. He has experience working in the big banking and financial sector. Michael is responsible for IT solutions and oversees the company’s activities around the globe. IT
solutions of the company and Norway branch office.
Abenezer Y. Zerezgi (BSc) Product Specialist & Support Engin
Abenezer has a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from University of Metu in Ethiopia, and Diploma in IT. He is working as a product specialist and support engineer in Ethiopia branch office, and responsible for maintenance and support solution of diverse analytical equipment.
Begashow Belay (BSc) IT Specialist, USA Branch
Begashow Belay, received his Bachelors of Science in Biochemistry from Missouri Southern State University. He has experience working in laboratories from working in the Cannabis industry where he helped make CBD products and test them for THC and impurities. He also worked at P&G where he ran tests on crude and pure oil glycerin to make sure it was up to industry standards. He now works in the professional world of IT as a junior Quality Assurance Analyst where he designs and runs test scripts for different websites during the Software Development Life Cycle. He does this in the biopharmaceutical industry. His first job in IT was in the financial industry as a QA analyst as an intern where he took an active role in the assurance of data compliance and generation for multiple LOB’s including ACA, EForms, I9, and Year End Tax Statements.
